Terms of use

MAClens is operated by Netha, a company based in France. When you subscribe to a plan or use the service, you contract directly with Netha.

MAClens is a MAC address lookup service: vendor identification from the official IEEE registries (MA-L, MA-M, MA-S), detection of special addresses and virtualization conventions, available through the website and an HTTP API. API access is offered as a free plan (100 requests per day) and paid plans with higher daily quotas, billed monthly or yearly.

By continuing to use the service, you accept these terms. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind it; if you act as an individual, you represent that you are of legal age to enter into a contract.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and API keys confidential, and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

You agree not to:

• use the service for unlawful, fraudulent or spam purposes;
• infringe the intellectual property rights of others;
• attempt to interfere with the security of the service (malware, vulnerability scanning, unauthorized bulk scraping);
• circumvent the technical limits or quotas of your plan;
• resell or redistribute the service without Netha’s written permission;
• reverse engineer the service, except to the extent permitted by law.

Netha retains all intellectual property rights in the service: software, documentation, branding and graphic assets. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within the scope of your plan. Public data from the IEEE registries remains the property of its respective holders.

We strive to keep the service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service is provided “as is”; to the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. If you cancel, you keep access to your plan until the end of the paid period. Plan changes take effect immediately and are prorated.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service in case of material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations of our usage rules. When access ends, your API keys are deactivated; your account data is retained and then deleted in accordance with our privacy notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect damages (loss of profits, data or goodwill). Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for fraud, death or personal injury, or any consumer rights you may have.

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to the service will be submitted to the competent courts of France, unless mandatory provisions provide otherwise. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of the protective provisions of your country of residence.
